Dilapidation surveys are typically commissioned by builders or contractors looking to protect themselves against frivolous claims from neighbours alleging the dilapidation work caused damage to their property. Similarly, home owners may choose to commission a survey themselves in the event they may need to prove damage has been caused.

Our dilapidation surveys document the state of a building’s structure, including any minor wear and tear, prior to adjoining building works commencing. Our inspections may also include council assets such as the footpath, kerb and gutter. We then survey the condition of the property after construction or demolition works.

The survey is provided as an independent written final report and includes detailed photographs.
